Odisha Govt to Replace 68-Yr-Old Lok Seva Bhawan In Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to construct a new Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar to solve space and parking issues at the current building, which has been in use for 68 years.
The existing facility is outdated and no longer meets the needs of modern administration. It struggles with limited space and lacks proper infrastructure for both officials and the public.
In the Odisha Assembly, Works Department Minister Pruthviraj Harichandan said the Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation will prepare the master plan for the new building. The final cost will be decided after the plan is approved.The new Lok Seva Bhawan will be a modern administrative hub with better amenities, more space, and improved parking. It aims to make government services more efficient and citizen-friendly.
This move shows the state government’s commitment to upgrading public service infrastructure and preparing for future administrative growth.
