Odisha Govt Orders Uniform Colour Code for All Govt Buildings
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has mandated a uniform colour code for all state government buildings, aiming to bring visual consistency across its administrative infrastructure.
A notification issued by the Works Department stated that the directive applies to all departments and State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
As per the order, the exterior walls of government buildings will now be painted in a soft orange shade (RGB: 254, 190, 152), while borders will feature a contrasting red hue (RGB: 208, 126, 89). Additionally, MS grills will be coated in a light beige (RGB: 240, 221, 191).
The new colour scheme will be mandatory for all new constructions and adopted during routine repairs or renovations of existing buildings.
“Government has been pleased for adoption of uniform colour code henceforth for all new Government Buildings as well as existing buildings at the time of periodical repair/ renovation works,” the notification read.
