Odisha Gets 3 Berths in Modi 3.0 Central Cabinet
Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday included three BJP leaders from Odisha in his Cabinet. Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram and Ashwini Vaishnaw took oath of office as ministers in the Modi 3.0 Cabinet on Sunday evening.
Dharmendra Pradhan, who won the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Odisha’s Sambalpur constituency, was sworn in as a minister in Narendra Modi 3.0 Union Cabinet. He was Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship in the outgoing government, also served as Minister of Steel and Petroleum & Natural Gas earlier.
Jual Oram, who represents the Sundargarh Lok Sabha constituency in Odisha, was also a member of the 12th, 13th, 14th Lok Sabha and 16th Lok Sabha.
Ashwini Vaishnav, an IAS officer-turned-politician, served as the 39th Minister of Railways, 55th Communications Minister, and the second Electronics & Information Technology Minister in the Government of India from 2022–24. He is a member of the Rajya Sabha representing Odisha since 2019. Earlier in 1994, Vaishnaw joined the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the Odisha cadre and has served in different positions in Odisha. On Sunday, he took oath as a Cabinet Minister in the Modi Cabinet 3.0.
