Odisha Dibasa Today; Prez, PM, CM, Deputy CMs, Extend Warm Wishes

Bhubaneswar: Odias residing across Odisha and all over the world are celebrating Odisha Dibasa on Tuesday. It is the on which the Odisha was carved out as state on linguistic basis in 1936. This day is celebrated every year as homage to Odisha’s cultural, historical, and linguistic heritage, contributions to art, literature, and spirituality.
President Droupadi Murmu, who hails from Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Odisha on the occasion of Odisha Day through a message on X.
She wrote, “Warm greetings to the people on Odisha Day! It is an occasion to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Odisha and remarkable contribution of its people in various fields. The warm and hospitable people of Odisha have worked hard for the progress of the state while preserving its glorious traditions.”
“Odisha has played an important role in the freedom struggle and produced several makers of modern India. I pray to Mahaprabhu Jagannath for peace and prosperity of Odisha!” she added
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his wishes, on Odisha Dibasa and posted on X, “Warm wishes on Utkala Dibasa! This day is a fitting tribute to Odisha’s glorious culture. India takes pride in Odisha’s history, literature and music. Odisha’s people are hardworking and have excelled in diverse fields. Over the last year, the Centre and Odisha Governments are working extensively to further the state’s progress.”
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, and Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida took to their X handles to greet Odias on Odisha Dibasa.
CM Majhi wrote on X, “Greetings and best wishes to everyone on the occasion of Odisha Day. A humble tribute to the great men who made immense sacrifices for the formation of a separate Odisha state and enhanced the glory of our language, literature and culture. On this day, let us further strengthen our resolve to build a healthy and developed Odisha”.
Deputy CM KV Singh Deo’s X message read, “ Wishing everyone a joyous Utkal Diwas! Today, we honour the indomitable spirit, timeless heritage, and unmatched resilience of our beloved Odisha. From the sacred shores of Puri to the majestic peaks of the Eastern Ghats, our land is a tapestry of culture, courage, and progress. May we continue to script new chapters of glory while upholding the legacy of our forebears. Jai Jagannath!”
Deputy CM Pravati Parida posted, “Heartiest greetings and congratulations to all Odia brothers and sisters on the occasion of Utkal Day. On this occasion, I pay my humble tribute to the great heroes of the creation of a special Utkal state. Let us all resolve to build a prosperous and prosperous Odisha.”
Union Minister J.P. Nadda also praised Odisha’s development and heritage and wrote on social media, “On the occasion of Odisha Day, I extend my warm greetings to our brothers and sisters of this beautiful state.”

CM Majhi paid tribute to the state’s founding fathers, while Deputy CM Singh Deo honoured Odisha’s rich heritage and resilient people. Deputy CM Parida remembered the heroes who fought for a separate Odisha state. The leaders called for unity and resolve to build a prosperous and healthy Odisha.
