Odisha Cadre IPS Officer DS Kutey Appointed BSF IG
Bhubaneswar : A letter to the Odisha Home Department from the Centre read: “IPS D.S Kutey has been appointed BSF IG (Level-14 in the Pay Matrix) for tenure from the date of assumption of charge up to the date of his superannuation on February 29, 2028 or until further order, whichever is earlier.”
The Centre further requested that D.S. Kutey, IPS, be relieved immediately to enable him to take up his new assignment at the Centre.
On Friday, Ashish Kumar Singh, IPS appointed as IG, of the Indo-Tibetan border police on a deputation basis for a period of five years. The Centre asked the state of Odisha to relieve him immediately.
1997-batch Odisha cadre IPS officer Dhirendra Sambhaji Kutey, who was suspended by ECI for “unduly interfering in the conduct of the election” & later reinstated as OSD in Home Dept, has been appointed as Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF).
