NTPC TALCHER KANIHA REWARDED WITH GOLDEN PEACOCK NATIONAL TRAINING AWARD

TALCHER:NTPC Limited, Talcher Super Thermal Power Station, Angul has been declared the winner of the prestigious ‘Golden Peacock National Training Award’. A virtual global session was conducted by the Institute of Directors to present the Golden Peacock Awards to the winners for Business Excellence, Innovative Product / Service, Training and Quality on July 15, 2020.
In view of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, awards were presented via a virtual platform. Shri Sudip Nag, Chief General Manager, NTPC Talcher Kaniha received the award virtually in presence of Shri K.S Sarma, AGM (HR) and Shri PMGV Srinivas, AGM(RLI). The award was presented by Lt. Gen. J. S. Ahluwalia, President, Institute of Directors in the august presence of eminent dignitaries, Shri Durga Shanker Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Dr. P.V. Ramesh, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister, Govt of Andhra Pradesh State, Shri K Venkata Ramana Murty, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and Shri Ashok Kapur, Director General, Institute Of Directors,.
This award is regarded as a benchmark of Corporate Excellence worldwide. The purpose of the awards is to create competition for raising overall performance standards and recognize the achievements of the best performing organizations from Public Sector Undertakings, Private companies, and Government (Departmental) organization in 17 categories.
From over 344 responses, 151 were selected after scrutiny by an Assessment Group comprising of Business Excellence, Quality Management and Learning & Development experts.
