NTPC TALCHER KANIHA CONDUCTS 300TH ORT MEETING

TALCHER:NTPC Talcher Kaniha conducted its annual Operational Review Team (ORT) Meeting on July 10, 2020. In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, necessary social distancing norms were strictly followed during the meeting. Shri Sudip Nag, CGM, NTPC Talcher Kaniha gave the welcome address where he spoke about the importance of ORT Meeting in providing a holistic review of Station performance and system compliance. Shri Nag mentioned the operational highlights of the Station, overcoming the many hurdles faced last year, including the feat of generating 100% daily PLF on several occasions in the current Financial Year.

A short film on ‘Down the Memory Lane’ was then shown which showcased crucial milestone achievements of NTPC Talcher Kaniha from its early days. Shri Debasis Sarkar, ED (OS) joined the meeting via Video Conferencing and shared his work experiences and fond memories during his tenure at Talcher Kaniha.

A film depicting how the culture of Safety is ensured at NTPC Talcher Kaniha was then screened via Video Conferencing. Regional Executive Director (ER-II), Shri Sanjeev Kishore joined the meeting through Video Conferencing along with Project Heads of all ER-II Stations i.e. Darlipali, Bongaigaon, and Talcher Thermal. In his address, Shri Kishore gave his insightful guidance on improving the Station’s performance and system.

An E-book of the Souvenir created for the occasion was released by RED ER-II and its hard copy titled, ‘Pragati – a journey towards excellence’ was released by CGM, Talcher Kaniha. Shri N.S Rao, GM (O&M), Shri P. Sivaramakrishna, GM (Operation), Shri K.K Das, GM (FM), Shri Navin Bagai, GM (SSC-C&M), Shri Rajiv Khanna, GM (Maintenance) along with other senior officials and department heads were present.
