NTPC Northern Region HQ organises BEE State-Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation

Lucknow, November 14, 2025 —NTPC Northern Region Headquarters, Lucknow organised the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) State-Level Painting Competition under the aegis of the Ministry of Power. The competition was held on the theme “One Planet, One Chance – Save Energy: Energy Conservation, My Responsibility, Our Future” under the aegis of the Ministry of Power.

A total of 97 students from more than 100 schools across Uttar Pradesh participated in the state-level event, shortlisted from nearly 400 painting entries received in two categories—Class 5–7 and Class 8–10. Young artists showcased their creativity through paintings highlighting responsible energy use and the importance of safeguarding the planet’s future.

The event was graced by Shri Bablu Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), Lucknow, as Chief Guest, along with Shri Gyan Chandra, Retd. Additional Judge, and Smt. Deepa Tiwari, Deputy Director, State Council for Educational Research & Training and judges. Shri Bablu Kumar commended the participants, noting that the theme was both inspiring and essential in today’s world. He appreciated the creativity and awareness reflected in the students’ artwork, befitting a competition of this stature.

Delivering the vote of thanks, Shri Rahul Sharma, AGM (HR), expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, judges, parents, and students from across Uttar Pradesh for their enthusiastic participation. He congratulated the winners and acknowledged the collective effort that contributed to the success of the event.

Prizes were awarded to winners in both categories, with the following prize amounts:1st Prize – 50,000; 2nd Prize – 30,000; 3rd Prize – 20,000; Consolation Prizes – 7,500.The BEE State-Level Painting Competition serves as a key stage of the National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation. State-level winners will advance to the national round, where they will be honoured during the National Energy Conservation Day celebrations.
