NTPC Kaniha provides tricycles, Assistive aids to differently abled
Bhubaneswar ,(Odishabarta)Under a special CSR initiative, NTPC Kaniha today reached out to the unreached strata of society living in Kaniha Block and provided tricycles, wheelchair, creches, hand propelled tricycle, battery operated tricycle, blind cane, hearing aids etc to the Divyang jan and Senior Citizens.
The wheel chair and other assistive devices were handed over to the beneficiaries by Shri A. K. Sehgal, HOP, Kaniha in presence of Sh Satya Rama Krishna, GM (O&M)Sh A J Rajkumar ,GM (Maintenance), Shri S. S. Rao, GM(ADM), Sh Brij Kishore Pandey, HoHR. Sh G Mohakul, CMO, representatives of Unions, Associations and other dignitaries.
The beneficiaries were identified in four different disability assessment camps conducted earlier with assistance of experts. All together 113 persons received these assistive aids based on their disability assessment and requirements.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sehgal expressed the hope that these assistive devices would make life better and more comfortable for the differently abled persons. NTPC CSR would continue to extend such assistance for the community villages in the future, he said.
