NTPC Kaniha Celebrates NTPC’s 47th Raising Day

TalcherLThe 47th raising day of National Thermal Power Corporation was celebrated with great enthusiasm while adhering to Covid-19 guidelines on Sunday, November 7, at NTPC Talcher Kaniha.

Shri K Srinivasa Rao, ED, Talcher Kaniha unfurled the NTPC flag to mark the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Srinivasa Rao threw light on the glorious journey of the power plant and its contribution in nation building during the last 47 years, and said, “NTPC is among the most acclaimed public sector organisations in the world”. 

While highlighting NTPC Kaniha’s performance and contribution in the power sector, he stated that, “NTPC provided uninterrupted power supply to the nation despite the pandemic”, and complimented the O&M department and for their services. He also mentioned NTPC’s role in development of nearby areas and the efforts in CSR, environment, safety, human resource development and others.

In his concluding statements, he thanked the station’s Unions, Associations, ladies club and welfare bodies, CISF staff and employees for their valuable contribution.

Senior officials from NTPC and CISF, office bearers of different unions and associations and employees were present on this occasion.
