No to Colours but Yes to Foods

JAJPUR: Astha Foundation Trust, Bhubaneswar celebrated this year holi festival in a grand way.They organized the Colour’s of Rainbow with destitute and cancer patients at destitute ward, medicine ward, mental ward and cancer word at SCB Medical & Hospital6including in Acharya Harihar Cancer Hospital, Cuttack, Odisha the programme on the Holy occasion by distributing clothes, foods, mats and other daily use materials in the name of “Say no to colors, yes to foods”. When members visited to the hospitals on last 21st of the instant they  came to know the living and staying standard of the needy patients.

The patients have to live in such a pathetic condition even they don’t have fundamental requirements to live. On festival of color HOLI, we all the team members have spent whole day with patients said Subhakanta Samal,Chairman Astha.

In the program, they first distributed food, sweets, clothes, tooth paste, apples, sarees, nighty, etc to all patients. The patients enjoyed the food, and then they played holi by singing and dancing with members. They were so much excited while we have present with them on the festive holy day.

Team Astha Foundation also wished all patientsin this regard and the members were enjoyed the festive with them.


The main mission is; “Helping Hand of Destitute”. They have planned to distribute the above materials to the needy in regular intervals.Many organisations have pleadged to share their supports to this initiative.

Astha foundation chairman Subhakanta Samal, Satya Ranjan Sahoo, B. Sibu Acharya, Sudhanshu Sekhar Nayak along with renowned social worker of the state Mr. Gagan Bihari Paital, Prashant Kumar Mohanty, Debasish Pattanaik, Suchismita Prusty along with Ollywood actress Bidusmita Dash were participated and made it for grant success.
