No Need of Covid 19 Pandemic Norms – We are with our Norms (!)

Talcher:During the first wave of covid 19, last year , Talcher Municipal administration decided to settle the vegetable street vendors at the lock and shut down period in Lingaraj Road Side, from that period more than one hundred vendors have been doing their business there and now it becomes a daily veg. market, maintain their livelihood. Now this daily market is well known to everybody in this locality. But it is a matter of fact that covid pandemic is spreading rapidly in Talcher, for that local admin. is to prepare for taking mass precautions by using facial masks, maintaining physical distancing, use hand sanitizers and wash hands with soaps frequently. State Government has also declared week end lock down in each Saturday and Sunday and from 05th May to 19th May 2021 essential services will be opened up to 12 noon and after that almost services will be stopped except medical oriented services. All these precautions are to be maintained to check Covid 19 some how.
It is a matter of regret that the Covid norms are violated in the day light at Lingaraj Daily Vegetable Market.. No police or local administration is paid attention for this unwanted crowed created intentionally to spread corona virus through persons. This market is very near to the office of SDPO and residence of Sub Collector. Sources said that the municipal authority is collected a sum of Rs. Two thousand five hundred in average daily from that market, the municipal fellows are only engaged to collect money from the vendors, no sanitation work, no drinking water facilities for vendors, no mask checking and advised people to maintain physical distancing only money and money. Senior citizens and many volunteer associations demanded to immediate close this temporary vegetable daily market to check spread of Covid 19 second wave.
