‘NO BAG DAY’: COLLECTOR, GANJAM MAKES EFFORT TO ENHANCE STUDENT’S STRENGTH IN SCHOOLS

CHATRAPUR:In a bid to increase the attendance of students in schools, Ganjam district administration officials have a unique step in this regard.
According to reports, ‘No Bag’ pilot project has been introduced in government schools in which students do not have to carry bags and books on Saturdays.
Saturday at 09:00 AM Ganjam collector Mr Vijay Amruta Kulage,inaugurated the unique concept at Putigopalpur UP School under Gopalpur NAC near Chatrapur.
In his address to the students, Kulange said, The pilot project will be implemented in at least 20 schools in each block and today is just Suruwaat.Our only mission to effort students strength in Schools.
This program is being implemented as part of the ‘happiness curriculum’. Authorities will also provide materials in this regard, the Collector said.
Previously, the district administration already initiated Madhu App as an effort towards the same. Children on such days are expected to take part in cultural activities. The entire curriculum on the ‘No Bag Day’ is dedicated to, art, dance, music, etc.
