Niramaya for whom (!) .

Paralakhemundi- Government made arrangements of basic medicines for those patients under Niramaya program. Where patients with their referral tickets & subscriptions use to get medicines from the counter freely.Various schemes to reach at poor & free health services are now pondering. Never seen to bring prescriptions to purchase from medical store. So question arises what values & contents of Niramaya if basic amenities are not available.
When it is available at Ganjam district but not available in Gajapati district. With huge expences those poor families to roam at Brahmapur for small treatment through referral.This indeed diehard moment for those hands to mouths.
Such incident focussed at Dugapeta village of Dengaskal panchayat of Mohana block under Gajapati district, one Kuni Kandha taken his 7 years old son Ebiyo Kandha,who is suffering from TB & admitted at Brahmapur in paediatric ward.
There he stayed for 7 days & back to home but at local hospital he could not get the prescribed medicines. He waywardly moved for the medicine but failed to get that medicines.At Mohana CHC he failed to get that medicines & that too at Chandragiri CHC too. On retrospect staff of CHC said only for adults medicines are available.So what for at door step those CHCs functioning?Patients gruelled & on cross hand for primary treatment of children.Since last 2 months parents wildered here & there to get medicines but not successful.
While interacted CDMO Gajapati Dr. Pradip Kumar Patra he said at present that medicines for children treatment is not available but very soon it will be available on above CHCs.
