NEWLY JOINED DRM INSPECTED RAYAGADA- KORAPUT SECTION

Rayagada,(Badal Tah) : Divisional Railway Manager(DRM), Rayagada Amitabh Singhal inspected the Rayagada- Koraput section last Saturday. He reviewed ongoing developmental activities in the said section.

Singhal, a graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from NIT Trichy, is from 1995 batch of Indian Railways. His 1st posting was Assistant Divisional Electrical Engineer in Electric loco shed Kalyan in July 1999. A key contributor in design , manufacturing, commissioning and testing of Vande Bharat Express (Train 18), he becomes 1st DRM of Rayagada Railway Division.

Being the maiden visit to the Division after assuming charge on last Friday, DRM inspected the proposed Rayagada Division Building site.  Members of Chamber of commerce & industry and Station Consultative Committee met DRM and greeted him for his new assignment.

Speaking with media during the Rayagada Inspection, DRM emphasized on safety, passenger amenities and punctuality along with expediting infrastructure development works.

DRM also conducted a window trailing inspection from Rayagada to Koraput, overseeing the safety aspects viz. points and crossing, signalling system, tunnels, ongoing infrastructure development activities and assessing the progress of amenities in the section.

It may be noted that laying of foundation stone of Rayagada railway division was virtually done by none other than PM Modi on last Monday where CM Mohan Majhi was physically present. It took only three days to place the DRM at Rayagada. This is the commitment kept by the double engine govt for a Viksit Bharat where Odisha becomes the edifice of Eastern India, said Bidyabhusan Panda, a youth leader from Rayagada.
