Naveen Patnaik tick Unitary University Status For Khallikote Autonomous College, Berhampur

Berhampur: The Khallikote autonomous college is one of the oldest and famous colleges of the state having a rich academic tradition. Many of its alumni have established themselves in various fields.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, unitary university status for Khalikote autonomous college status to this college has fulfilled the aspirations of the people of southern Odisha, he added.

Prof.Jayant Mohapatra, Ex Vice Chancellor of Berhampur University 1st proposed to Chief Minister of Odisha in his Tweeter handle. In his request Prof.Mohapatra justified its requirement for the larger interest of Southern Odisha. It will usher in a new academic journey promoting research, new studies relevant to current times., Prof.Mohapatra added.
It may be noted that after the State Higher Education Department’s February 2020 order converting the Khallikote Cluster University to a Unitary University, Khallikote Autonomous College which was the lead college under its territorial jurisdiction was re-affiliated to Berhampur University.
