NAVEEN PATNAIK ANNOUNCES PACKAGE FOR EXPANSION OF SCB MEDICAL COLLEGE

Bhubaneswar, Jan 25 (LocalWire) Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday approved a special relief and rehabilitation package for the people who are going to be displaced for revamping and modernizing of the SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack.
Several residential houses, commercial complex, fish market complex, street vendor, clubs, cattle shed will be demolished for the up-gradation of the hospital work for which will begin in March.
For each affected family, the government will offer Rs.50,000 one time resettlement assistance.
It will provide Rs. 1 lakh assistance to each family for relocation and emergencies.
The license has been granted to set up temporary residence in 15ftx15 ft land in the identified area by Cuttack Mahanagar Corporation (CMC) and the district administration.
CMC registered shopkeepers and the ish vendors will get one-time resettlement assistance of Rs.1 lakh, and CMC will return their deposits.
The affected shopkeepers will get priority in vending zones. Government officers who will vacate the government quarters will get special assistance as per the government policy.
