Naveen Partnaik Urges Cooperation, Unity as Odisha Braces for Cyclone Dana

Bhubaneswar: As Odisha is bracing up for the landfall of cyclone Dana between Bhitarkanika and Dhamra, former CM and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the state Assembly, in a video message urged Odisha citizens people to cooperate with the administration during the cyclonic storm.

He noted that past experiences have shown Odisha’s ability to effectively tackle such disasters citing state’s robust disaster management policy, which has ensured successful mitigation of previous cyclones.

In his message, he urged people not to panic but remain vigilant. “Life is precious, so stay safe. Extend full cooperation to the administration in combating the cyclone”, he said.

He requested all elected representatives to stand with the people during this difficult time and provide support.

“I confidently believe that united, we will effectively counter the cyclone, just as we have in the past. Jai Jagannath,” he added.
