Naveen Inaugurates Biju Patnaik ITI at Krushnaprasad In Puri

Bhubaneswar: Skilled in Odisha programme is being implemented on mission mode for the skill development of children keeping in view huge investment in the State, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said.
Inaugurating the Biju Patnaik Industrial Training Institute (ITI) built at a cost of Rs 18 crore through video conferencing at Krushnaprasad block of Puri district on Wednesday, Naveen said the demand for skilled youths has risen along with the development in industrial sector.
Biju Patnaik ITI has the provision to impart training in four trades electrician, fitter, electronic mechanics and dress making. The arrangement for imparting training is made keeping in view the present and future demand for recruitment in industries.
In the coming days, provision for imparting training in more trades would be made. Facilities like modern laboratory, workshop and hostel have been created for the purpose. The Chief Minister hoped that the demand for Odia youths in the global employment market will rise.
Highlighting the success of the skill development in Odisha, he said out of 12,000 ITIs in the country, 10 ITIs of Odisha figured in the best 100 of the country.
Naveen said the Odia youths have brought laurels to the State for their performance in national and international skill development competitions and hoped that the youths from the State will continue the success story in the coming days.
