Narcotic Drugs Peddlers Apprehended by STF

Bhubaneswar:On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by team of STF, Bhubaneswar on the road side near village Ghatipiri under Dhenkanal Sadar PS Dist. Dhenkanal on Monday against illegal trade of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended two drug peddlers namely 1) Rakesh Kumar Sahoo @ Kalu @ Raka, S/o. Late Nrusingha Charan Sahoo of Godidihi, Balaram Prasad PS. Motanga Dist. Dhenkanal, 2) Santhosh Kumar Sahoo @ Santa, S/o. Basanta Kumar Sahoo of Gadasila PS. Sadar Dist. Dhenkanal.
During search Brown Sugar weighing 01 Kg 090 gram and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from their possession. The accused persons could not produce any valid authority in support of possession of such contraband materials, for which the accused persons were arrested and will be forwarded to the court of Spl. Judge cum District & Sessions Judge, Dhenkanal, Dist. Dhenkanal. In this connection STF PS Case No.37 dated 20.11.2021 U/s. 21(c)/29 NDPS Act, 1985 was registered. Investigation is on.
Since 2020, STF in the special drive against narcotic drugs has seized more than 44 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin and more than 86 quintals 81 kg (86.81) of Ganja /Marijuna .
