Nacrotic Drug Peddler Sibu nab by STF

Bhubaneswar:On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by team of STF, BBSR on 20.02.2022 on NH-16 i.e. near Pahal Crossing under Khordha district against illegal transportation/possession of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended one most wanted accused person namely Sibu @ Siba Prasad Das S/o. Late Purna Chandra Das of Mundiasahi PS. Jatni Dist. Khordha .
During search Brown Sugar weighing 1227 gm, One Pulsar MC, 05 Nos Mobile Phone and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from his possession. The accused person could not produce any document or authority for possession of such contraband Brown Sugar, for which he has been arrested and will be forwarded to the court. In this connection STF PS case No. 05/ 2022 U/s 21(c)/29 of NDPS Act 1985 has been registered. Investigation is on.
The above noted accused was absconding since 24/25.01.2022 after being involved in STF PS Case No. 01/2022. Earlier brown sugar 03 kg 100 gm, Cash of Rs.65.32 Lakh, 03 numbers 7 MM Pistol, 07 nos Magazine, 43 rounds of 7 MM Ammunitions and other incriminating materials were seized in that case. The accused is also involved in 06 criminals cases of various districts of Odisha.
Since 2020, STF in the special drive against narcotic drugs has seized more than 49 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin and more than 89 quintals of Ganja /Marijuna and arrested more than 123 drug dealers/peddlers.
