The Major Functions of Police mainly Investigation related duties and jobs.of Investigators work with law enforcement agencies, individuals, and businesses to investigate and solve crimes to secure a successful conviction.
They should conduct their duties honestly and detailed investigations of complex criminal activities and other violations of local, and state law and collect, analyze, and preserve evidence.
The laws of crime, evidence and procedure dating back and designed to serve the colonial interests of an imperial power still govern the day-to-day functioning of police.
The question is, can a colonial police meet the needs of a free society in flux (?).It would not be an exaggeration to say that,most efforts at reform have met with increasing resistance from the entrenched privileged classes and the Public services of different community.
Our society always looks at and treats a policeman with proper manner and pays high regards but in rare cases it took places disgust and disliked(?).People felt a little realizing that sometimes there is discouragement or we may say disregards sometimes even it happens to Senior Citizen and 4th Pillar community (!).So unless without any nature of stable relationships among Police-Public-Media are to lay on the line.
The important is round the Clock Media plays a vital role as an important pillar of our democracy by highlighting the working or lacunae therein of all the activities of the State administration. Police Administration assumes significance and impact of Media is also more visible in the field of Police Administration.
To resolve in all there is no such thing as scientific method to change their body language, politeness as well humble behaviour Is essential to convert it to a Positive method so that a common man can full access with Police, than only a People can be Friendly with Police.
Normally police job a restless they always engage with Crime prevention and protection of peace and security to the society.
Other side in many instances some misconduct people trying maily the anti-socials, they underestimate to Police smartness which will put bad impact to their morale, reduces their efficiency and affects their character.
The considered view is that the public should not expected everything in one basket to so, people should trust the police when the law of the land does not work to do so.
This distrust of the police is not only widely known but also manifests itself every day. Because what they do and what they say are invariably looked upon with suspicion. How can the police will function if they are not trusted (?).
A small sample study carried out in Odisha revealed that people in general are grateful of the problems and limits of the police, but they feel disillusioned and irked when the police do not hear them even some rare cases they visit the crime scene to make a worthwhile effort to crack the case.
