PARALAKHEMUNDI:Gajapati lost another acclaimed woman with literature vintage, socially mixing emerged not the least a woman warrior of Corona Minakshi Sahu no more. She expired at a private hospital at Bhubaneswar. She left her widow mother & 2 brothers at her Bigbrahmin street residence of Paralakhemundi. Among other her sister Dr Rina Sahu,Principal of Govt Womens College and family friends were present.
Being a disciple and daughter of ex-MLA Late Trinath Sahu,emerged her shinning with all social activities not only for grassroots but also for her people of Paralakhemundi urban.
During Corona jinx her team of Akankhya had a whirlwind movement to distribute masks & sensitized on Corona by moving streets & local market particularly empowering on social distancing & hand washing along with use of masks. They too honoured other warriors of district administration right from Collector Anupam Saha,outgoing SP Sarah Sharma & Police staff, medical staff at CDMO office right from CDMO to sweepers not the least those urban sweepers & swachasaathi.As a litterateur she commemorated nice venture by organizing regular meeting to advocate on Paralakhemundi history, culture & heritage by inviting those litterateurs.
Every year Akankhya organized International Women’s Day & honored those acclaimed personalities. Her endeavour to uplift social & literature scenarios wil be remembered.
On her death Mina Kumari Tahal,Tanuja Satpathi,Anita Misra, Asalata Panigrahi of Akankhya;Purnachandra Mahapatra, Gourachandra Panda, outgoing SP Sarah Sharma,all media(both electronic & printing) representatives conveyed their deepest condolence to bereaved family & paid tribute to departed Soul.
