MILK TRADER’S MURDER CASE CRACKED BY BERHAMPUR POLICE

BERHAMPUR:The Berhampur Police here on Friday arrested three persons including the mastermind in connection with the murder case of milk trader on June 13.
Today in a meet Mr Pinak Mishra, SP,Berhampur has told to scribe, In the intervening night of 13/14.06.2020 some unknown culprits trespassed to the office cum residence of Lambodhar Muni (66) Proprietor of Mahalaxmi Bhandar a distributor of Heritage Milk products situated in Hilpatna.
Based on the complaint by Manager of the dairy company Gosaninuagaon Police Station registered a case on June 14.
Under the supervision of SP Berhampur, Addl.SP,Prabhat Routray,PK Mishra,SDPO,(City),B.Pati and IIC Summet Soren have started their grass root investigation with the support of police Dog and Scientific team and within 4 days they became success with their mission.
The 24-year-old Rupesh along with his associates had trespassed to office-cum-residence of the 66-year-old businessman Lambodar Muni, a milk trader at Hillpatna for robbery. During committing the crime, they killed Muni by smothering him with a Gamuchha and fled from the spot.
The arrested persons are Rupesh Padhy alias Lala the Mastermind, Shiva Mahankuda (23), both residents of Neheru Nagar under Gosaninuagaon police limits. The third accused is Ranjit Sahu (23) of Bhismagiri village under Digapahandi police limits. He is a cab driver residing at Duduma Colony under Badabazar police limits. Notably, Rupesh Padhy, who was working as a driver of the milk company, is the mastermind in this case. Two others are still at large in the murder case and soon wait for another Press Meet,Mishra said.
The offence were arrested on 17.06.2020 and 18.06.2020 and cash of Rs,4 lakhs a gold chain weight 98 grams. A titan wrist watch, a pair of gold earing of 03 grams and gold finger ring have been recovered from the possession of the accused persons. Router, Modem etc which were taken away from the spot house in the night of occurrence has been recovered from Bahuda Tank near RI office, Gosaninuagaon.
On the written report of V. Vinaya,Manager of the farm gosaninuagaon Police registered a case No. 87 Dt. 14/06/2020 u/s 458/394/302 IPC.The case has turned to section 460 / 396 IPC.
