Meenakshi, a Popular Anchor of Rourkela is No More

ROURKELA: Meenakshi Dhar one of the finest anchors of the city breathed her last in JP Hospital this morning after a treatment of more than 8 days. She had unluckily faced an accident on 12th of this month when two snatchers tried to pull her vanity bag while she was driving her Scooty causing imbalance and she had a hard landing on the road causing injury to her brain. She was immediately rushed to IGH by few passersby present there. There the injury she got forced her to go unconscious and became serious. Finding the situation tough doctors at IGH referred her to a big hospital in Bhubaneswar or in JP Hospital in Dandiapalli, Vedvyas area.
She was then shifted to JP hospital and had undergone a surgery. As per the information she is somehow recovering to her injury but suddenly her condition got worse and today she lost her battle for life. This news has spread like wild fire and shocked everyone whosoever got this news. She had been associated with many socio-cultural organizations in the city and a well know figure in the city for anchoring. She was a soft and kind hearted lady with vast communication skills. This death has brought a huge loss to the field of literary line.
Her husband Nalini Dhar is also a well known figure in the city and an excellent financial advisor. Condolences messages have been floating from all corners let it be social, political or service sectors. She is survived by her husband and two daughters.
