Matric Exams,Results to be announced by June End ,Minister

Bhubaneswar: The results of the matric exams in Odisha will be announced by the last week of June, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said on Sunday. The evaluation process to award marks to Class X students without examination is underway and the results will be announced at the scheduled time, the Minister said.

The State Government had cancelled the High School Certificate (HSC) Examination-2021 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) due to rise in Covid cases during the second wave of the pandemic. The exam was scheduled to be held on May 3. The results will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion developed by the BSE.

“Any candidate, who will not be satisfied with marks awarded to him/her on this basis, will be given an opportunity to sit in an examination as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the examination,” the Minister had said earlier.

Dash said nothing can be said on the reopening of schools right now due to the prevailing pandemic. The Chief Minister and academicians will decide on the matter, he added.
