Maternity Care Woman Shouldered for 2 kms (!).

Paralakhemundi:At interior Gajapati district dilapidated conditions of lack of communications hovered jinx for health care. At Mohana block & other parts of Gajapati district,such situation arising like dare devil huddles,where even 108 ambulance too unable to reach.Patients used to shoulder for 2 to 5 kms. Such drastic movement arised at interior Jegersing of Karchabadi panchayat of Mohana block. One Sunita Sabar went to her uncle’s village at Jegersing. Sunita,the maternity care woman,felt pain & communicated for 108 ambulance. Ambulance driver Santos Nayak, helper Surendra Sethy & pharmacist Rabinarayan Behera climbed long 2 kms hilly terrain road & by stretcher they brought the woman to Chandragiri CHC.There Sunita attained motherhood of a baby girl. Now both mother & child are safe informed by CHC staff.
