MASSIVE EXCISE RAID AGAINST ILLEGAL ID LIQUOR MANUFACTURING UNITS IN GANJAM

CHATRAPUR:Ganjam Excise conducted massive excise raid against illegal ID liquor manufacturing units at Aska, Dharakote and Gangapur police station limit.
By the strict instruction of the Collector,Ganjam Wednesday the massive Excise raid been conducted in the village Paklapalli Erogola Camp, IB Erogolla camp, Santoshima Erogola Camp, Gondapalli and Thengapalli.
A huge amount of Illicit Distilled (ID) liquor has been seized and all 12 persons have been arrested in the drive against illegal ID liquor amid COVID19 lockdown.
They seized a total of 2005 ltrs of ID liquor and destroyed 11,650 ltrs of Molasses. They were also successful in arresting 12 accused persons with the help of Local police. In this connection 7550 Ltrs Gur wash and many distillation apparatus.
Finally 24 nos of Excise case have registered against 20 accused persons including 6 female. The raid been conducted under the leadership of Inspector of Excise,Aska, IE / SI Striking force,Chatrapur,OIC,Aska and Staff.
