Man Held For Impersonating as Police (!)

Berhampur:Civilian impersonating as Police and using Police board in private car detained, Criminal case registered. Vehicle seized and accused detained.
The incident was brought to light during Patrolling , Traffic police detained a Hyundai Creta vehicle with AP registration moving suspiciously in the town area using a Police board inside the vehicle.
The persons who was driving has been identified as Korada Subramanyam belonging to Kotabommali, Srikakulam district , Andhrapradesh.
The car was detained for verification. The vehicle was neither Police vehicle , nor Korada Subramanyam a Police person. The vehicle owner was detained for cheating , impersonation & using mark used by Public servant.
The case of Impersonating Police and using Police name board was registered in Town Police station.
Criminal case under sections 417, 419 & 484 IPC was registered and the vehicle was seized. The above accused was detained. Further investigation under way.
