Major Fire at Bhubaneswar’s Private Engineering College, All Students Rescued

Bhubaneswar: A fire accident occurred in the auditorium of a private engineering college located in the Jagamara area of Bhubaneswar. The blaze, suspected to have originated from an AC compressor malfunction on the second floor, initially sparked fears for over 100 students present at the time.

Upon receiving the alarm, fire brigade engines rushed to the scene. Fire and Emergency Services personnel acted quickly, successfully bringing the flames under control and rescuing approximately 65 students from the third floor.

While the incident saw some injuries initially reported, later updates confirmed that all students were safely rescued. One student, who felt unwell due to smoke inhalation, was transported to a hospital as a precautionary measure. The rapid response of the fire department was crucial in preventing a larger catastrophe.
