Majhi was fired on suspicion of witchcraft (!).

Paralakhemundi-At Jadingi a horrified incident happened where a preacher Dambarudhar Majhi was fired on suspicion of witchcraft. That convicted person who fired on Dambaru has been arrested from Jadingi village under Adava police limits. By the instruction of SP Jayram Satpathy, SDPO Dilip Kumar Nayak teamed up with Anand Chandra Patra IIC & staff of Adava ps,on searching operation at Bijikupari forest seized one AK47 rifle, 28 unused ammunitions & 2 magazines. On 7th February Dambaru was fired but he reprieved rather cruished at his bike. Immediately he fallen down & continuously beaten by stone. He squandered away from spot towards his home. Family members admitted him at Brahmamigaon medical. On next day he submitted FIR at Adava ps. Since then the accused was in search by police who was absconded. With utmost huddles of searching on Friday midnight from his home he caught & forwarded to court.
As superstition belief one Pramod Majhi(Sagar)lost his 9 months son. So villagers trigerred on Dambaru & called a meeting. Attempted to kill him on 7th February but saved himself. Earlier he was with Maoist & surrendered says IIC Patra.
