Low pressure likely to concentrate into depression, heavy rainfall forecast in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area over north interior Tamil Nadu and neighbourhood is likely to concentrate into depression and trigger rainfall in Odisha, according to IMD bulletin. A trough runs from the cyclonic circulation associated with low pressure area over north interior Tamil Nadu to north coastal Odisha across coastal Andhra Pradesh and extends up to 0.9 km km above mean sea level.
A cyclonic circulation lies over Gulf of Thailand and neighbourhood and extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting south-westwards. Under its influence, a fresh low pressure area is likely to form over South Andaman Sea by Saturday. It is likely to move west-north-westwards and concentrate into a depression over east-central and adjoining south-east Bay of Bengal on November,15.
The IMD predicted that under its influence, heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Puri, Nayagarh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara till November 13 and issued yellow warning for these districts. Heavy rainfall is also likely to occur at one or two places over Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada and Kalahandi districts on November 13 and 14, the weather office said.
