Loving Champak Bhauja No More (!)

Bhubaneswar:Deeply saddened to know that my respected and loved Champak Bhauja, wife of Legendary journalist Kuni Bhai ( Swarup Jena ) left for her heavenly abode on the 8th of December 2022 ( Thursday ) night at their Saheed Nagar residence. She is survived by two sons Dipu and Papu and a number of brothers of Kuni Bhai and their family members.
Champak Bhauja was the stepdaughter of the famous poet Kuntala Kumari Sabat and was a very popular teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bhubaneswar. After the sudden and saddest demise of Kuni Bhai both of their brilliant sons were grown under her love and care and have established themselves Their eldest son DIPU is presently placed as the Executive Vice President and Automotive Practice Head-Kantar IMRB New Delhi while Papu is the Head-Business Function and Support Services BFSI at TCS.
As Bhauja developed visual problems, Papu had to stay with her in Bhubaneswar for the last few years to take her care.
Champak Bhauja was very close to Chandraprava and me the attached photograph speaks of her closeness with us..she was standing like a rock behind Kuni ?hai who was a victim of the than Govt .attrocity
