LOST MOBILES RECOVERED By BERHAMPUR POLICE HANDED TO RIGHTFUL OWNER

Berhampur,17/09/25:Berhampur Cyber Police Station recovers 100 lost mobile phones worth 30 lakhs within days of launching dedicated online help system.
IG Southern Range Shri Niti Shekar IPS distributed 50 mobile phones to the rightful owners in a function organised at DPO Berhampur on 17-9-2025.In a special event for distribution of recovered Mobile Phones to the rightful owners organized at DPO Berhampur , I.G. of Police,SR,Berhampur Shri Niti Shekar IPS distributed 50 recovered Mobile phones to the rightful owners.
Besides that a sum of Rs.1,16,419/- money recovered from the fraudulent accounts were handed over to the rightful owners.Ownership in respect of rest 50 Mobiles recovered yet to be recovered and after verification the said mobile phones to be handed over to the rightful owners.
A large number of complaints were received at Office of Superintendent of Police,Berhampur and Cyber Police,Station Berhampur during the month of June-25 and August -25.
As per direction of Superintendent of Police,Berhampur,Cyber Police Station,Berhampur held a special drive from the month of June-25 to July-25 consisting of Inspr. S.Panda, SI A.Swarnalatha Patra, C/873 Ajit Kumar Gouda,C/206 Kailash Chandra Moharana,C/265 Rajendra Kumar Behera and C/777 Santosh Kumar Jena.C/238 D.M.Dora and C/953 D.Gouda. The dedicated team through scientific and professional investigation techniques and coordination with Mobile Service provider and other agencies to trace the devices and successfully recovered 100 mobile phones
During the month of August & September 2025 , 150 Smart Mobile phones worth about 30 Lakhs has been recovered , 100 Smart phones has been handed over to the rightful owners

The dedicated team at the Cyber Police Station monitors these
complaints and works with local Police Stations to carry out
recovery operation.
