LOCKDOWN RELAXED IN GANJAM FROM MONDAY

CHATRAPUR:Imposition of lockdown for coronavirus outbreak will be relaxed in Odisha’s Ganjam district from April 20, said Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange today at his office conference hall this morning.

Speaking to scribe, Collector Ganjam Kulange said, the Movement of private vehicles for getting essential items will be allowed. However, double riding will be restricted on two-wheelers. Wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing in public places, different business establishment will remain mandatory and fine will be imposed for spitting,” Kulange said.

There will be no restriction on timing for sale of essential items. However, sale of gutkha, betel, tea and liquor will remain shut. Strict action will be taken against violators, if noticed.

Vendors have been asked to ensure social distancing among customers, failing which action will be taken against them and the shop will be sealed.

Further he said, we have deputed many officers and police personals in civilian dress  to be  alert the entire moment in city.
