ROURKELA:The day one of the lockdown everything went smooth except in few cases by habit few people were seen on roads without any valid reasons, who were then sent back by police with soft warning. More or less the lockdown was successful and as instructed, markets are opened for essential items only. Private organizations are seen closed. Private vehicle movements on road were negligible.
The most alerting issues were on 18th there are new 18 cases have been reported and out of which maximum numbers belongs to Rourkela. This has increased more tensions for the administration not for the figure but for cases are traced in new area where earlier no positive cases have recorded.
All these corona positive patients are from Golghar, Basanti Colony, Traffic Gate, Railway Colony, Chhend and Jagda. Now administration is on full swing to have contract tracing of all these patients. Among these patients few patients are those who didn’t have any travel history or were not in contact with corona positive patients earlier or having any symptoms earlier. This thing alarms, from where they got this infection. It can only be traced after taking contract tracing details. Commissioner of RMC, Dibyajyoti Parida is on view that more tests will be conducted so that we can get details of who others are infected or having symptoms of corona.
