Limitless Crime; Contraband Ganja more than 253 kg were Seized

Bhubaneswar:On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted near village Tikarpada PS: Kanatamal under Boudh district Saturday i.e. 21.8.2021 with the help of Boudh police against illegal transportation/storage of Narcotic Drugs, as result of which contraband ganja weighing more than 253 kg and other incriminating materials were seized from the spot. The accused persons managed to escape from the spot; however the drug peddlers have been identified and will be arrested soon. In this connection a case has been registered at Kantamal Police Station for necessary legal action. This refers to Kantamal Police Station Case No. 109/ 2021 U/s 20 (b)(ii)(c)/29 of NDPS Act 1985. Investigation is on.
Since 2020, STF in the special drive against narcotic drugs has seized more than 38 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin and more than 86 quintals 81 kg (86.81) of Ganja /Marijuna and arrested more than 100 drug dealers/peddlers.
