LAKSHMIPAT SINGHANIA PUBLIC SCHOOL BAGGED THE PLATINUM AWARD IN INTERNATIONAL CYBERFAIR 2020

Rayagada,May,18:Enthusiastic students of Lakshmipat Singhania Public School(LPS) at JK Pur promoted by JK Paper Mills Ltd(JKPM), guided by a bunch of passionate mentors & led by chief mentor Mr N Padmanabha Swamy have done research for a couple of months on Odissi Dance-The pride of Odisha. After their research they have designed a website and published their research work.
The Covid-19 Pandemic could not be a barrier for the students. They have found an innovative solution of collaboration through technology and completed their project by online collaboration from home. Despite the lockdown imposed by the Government, students of LPS completed the project and peer reviewed well within the scheduled date of submission. According to the school Principal, Mr Pradipta Kishore Panigrahy, the students of LPS are well versed with the competitions held in the cyber media and futuristic to participate and excel in any kind of online competitions.
International Cyber Fair is an award-winning, authentic learning program used by schools. Students conduct research about their local communities and use digital media to publish their findings online. Recognition is given to the best projects in each of eight categories: local leaders, businesses, community organizations, historical landmarks, environment, music, art, and local specialties.
This White House endorsed program encourages youth to become ambassadors for their own local communities by working collaboratively with community members and using technology tools to publish a website or create a video that displays what they have learned. The annual contest has involved more than 5.5 million students from 50,000 schools across 115 countries and is considered the longest running international online event of its kind.
Since three years the school is participating in International Cyber fair and the results go like this 2018 – Gold Award, 2019 – Platinum Award, 2020 – Platinum Award. For this achievement all teachers, principal and school management have congratulated and applauded the students participated in the International Cyberfair 2020.
