KORAPUT’s FIRST CORONA WAS POSITIVE FROM KOLKATA IDENTIFIED

KORAPUT:For the first time in Koraput district, an infected person has been identified. One of the infected is a staff nurse in the Dashmantapur block of the district. According to his travel history, he returned from Kolkata on the 16th to join duty. But when he returned, he was in quarantine. His corona was tested for travel history. Which came in a positive way? The number of people affected by the virus has risen sharply in Balasore including those identified on Tuesday.

Adding to this new positive, the number of coronary cases in the state has risen to 110.

The I & PR Department in a tweet identified them as a 22-year-old male health worker of Dasmantpur in Koraput and a 32-year-old man of Balasore.

Both have travel history to West Bengal.

The department said that the 22-year-old had come from Kolkata on April 14 to join nursing duty. “He was quarantined and tested due to travel history though asymptomatic. He had not joined work,” it added.

Koraput collector Madhusudhan Misha,OAS over Corona preparedness stated that already state government has directed and it has been implemented. Special arrangements has been done earlier to control covid 19 pandemic .Panchayati Raj Institutions levels,Mission shakti,s women Self Help Groups (WSHG ) Anganbadi workers,CDPO,s , Supervisors directed to sanitize 14 blocks of koraput .In this regard emergency meeting is notified tomorrow to Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and officials of different departments.
