Koraput Vikash Parishad urged for better railway services in Koraput region

Sunabeda: 13/02/2022: Treasurer of Koraput Vikash parishad Sheikh Ibrahim met Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair Division Anup Kumar Shatpathy on his visit to Koraput on 12/02/2022 and discussed about the development issues of railway services in Koraput district. State BJP SC Morcha Secretary G Sanjib Kumar, BJP city president Siddharth Muduli, Sridhar Patnaik, Amarendra Sethi, Devi Prasad Kar, and Ashwini Patnaik also met Pramsakh DRM Anup Shatapathy. Among other things we urged; resuming of all train services to pre-pandemic levels in the Division , train connectivity from Jagdalpur – Koraput to New Delhi. Introduction of a day time train from Koraput to – Bhubaneswar , upgradation of Dumuriput railway station , Halting of Express trains at Laxmipur station, to provide land for the Koraput bypass , up gradation of Koraput railway station and the Vistadom coaches to be connected to the Visakhapatnam-Kirandol Express to facilitate tourists to Koraput area. Mr. Anup Shatapathy promised that more coaches would be installed on the Samaleswari Express and that the Vistadom coach would be connected on the Visakhapatnam-Kirandol Express. Other railway officials, including Akhilesh Tripathi, senior divisional commercial manager, were present.
