Koraput:The second round of Koraput three-tier panchayat elections ended peacefully in the Koraput block. In the Koraput block, which has two zones and 14 panchayats, the turnout was 74 percent. In Manabar Panchayat under Koraput Zone-1, 136 men, 1515 women and a total of 2,803 voters cast their ballots. There are 63 males in Kendar Panchayat, 1536 females in total, 1536 males in Mahadeiput Panchayat, 27 females in total, 156 males in Mastiput Panchayat, 142 females in total, 326 females, 73 males in Devighat Panchayat, 435 females in total, Badkerenga In the panchayat, there were 1,502 male voters, 1,504 female voters, a total of 3,006, in Umuri panchayat 421 male and 40 female voters. Similarly, in Badsuku Panchayat under Koraput Zone-2, there are 45 males, 451 females for a total of 18, in Dumuripadar Panchayat for a total of 18 males, 1,356 females for a total of 2,400, in Litiguda Panchayat a total of 1,393 males, 136 females for a total of 281 males, in Matalput Panchayat 2,822 males, 29 females. A total of 59 voters cast their ballots in Marichamal Panchayat, 1,537 men in 2,234 constituencies, 24 men in Padmapur Panchayat, 2,722 women in total for 5,714, 653 men in Lankaput Panchayat and 41 women in 18 constituencies. In 19 panchayats in the block, a total of 34,651 voters cast their ballots in 203 polling booths, with 17,600 men and 20,075 women. Mahadeiput Panchayat Bagraguda Primary School in Koraput block has a pink polling station, while only women cast their ballots. There was excitement among the women during the voting.
