Koraput Bikash Parishad submitted a memorandum to Central Railway Minister

Sunabeda:Koraput Bikash Parishad a concerned citizens organization of Koraput has submitted a memorandum to Central Railway, Communication & IT Minister AShwini Baishnav during his visit to Koraput on 20/08/2021.The team was lead by its President G.Sanjeev Kumar along with senior office bearers of Koraput Bikash Parishad, Er. Sunil Biswal, Shaik Ibrahim, Shaheda Parween, Gobinda Ballav Padhi appraised the minister about the interminable problems of Koraput region and requested him to address these issues in right perspective. The charter of demands includes; Renaming of Hirakhand express as Saheed Laxman Nayak Express/Deomali express since the current name doesn’t relate with any historical, cultural or natural resource symbols of Koraput district. To provide better connectivity to the state capital and to north Odisha, it’s requested to introduce a day time train from Koraput-Bhubaneswar- Khadagpur. Introduce new trains from Jagdalpur- Koraput to Hyderabad, Bangalore and New Delhi. The suspended 18212/18211 Jagdalpur-Durg Express Train may be considered for resuming soon and may be extended up to Nagpur. Develop passengers’ amenities for Dumeriput Railway station and communication for better accessible for the students of Central University of Odisha HAL and other nearby villages. They also demanded to enhance communication and telecommunication facilities in undivided Koraput district.
Among others Sandeep Patnaik, Swaraj Kumar Roy, Chintamani Prusty, Meena Kumar Prusty and Hitesh Kumar Choudhury of Koraput Bikash Parishad were also present.
