Khordha: Junior Assistant at BEO office under vigilance net
Bhubaneswar: Tightening the noose around the neck of corrupt government officials the Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday nabbed the Junior Assistant of the office of the BEO in Khordha of Odisha.
The accused Junior Assistant has been identified as Pradipta Kumar Sahoo.
As per reports, Junior Assistant (in charge of Accounts), office of BEO, Khordha has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance today while demanding and taking bribe of Rs. 6000 from a complainant for facilitating release of bill of differential pay in favour of his sister who is a retired primary school teacher towards her incremental benefits.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from possession of accused Sahoo and seized.
Following the trap, search is going on at one location of Sahoo from DA angle.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case No 23/2024 U/s-7PC (Amendment)Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sahoo, Junior Assistant.
