Kalahandi- Chhattisgarh Border Sealed, Black Marketers with Golden Spoon (!).

Kalahandi:The Kalahandi district administration has sealed the Chhattisgarh border in view of the recent Corona scare, while the Chhattisgarh Gariaband district administration has also sealed it. Retailers and traders as well as consumers in the border areas of Kalahandi, which depends upon Raipur and Nagpur market, have mostly affected. The Kalahandi district administration and the district administration of Gariabandh of Chhattisgarh have sealed off the main road at Sandhikulihari on the Kalahandi border and cut off traffic.
In particular, fruits, onions, sugar, etc. from Nagpur through Raipur, while rice, pulses, edible oil, etc. are supplied from Raipur market to all the border areas, including Dharmagarh and Junagarh area. Similarly, from Kalahandi area, the residents of Raipur area depend on other items such as bhang and gudakhu etc.
After the border was sealed, there are rumors that some unscrupulous black marketers are now stockpiling various goods in warehouses and selling them at higher prices. In this regards bordering Kalahandi, has had a significant impact. Wholesale prices of essential commodities such as sugar, potato, pulses and edible oils have gone up by Rs 20 to Rs 30 in retail price while price have gone up by Rs 20 to Rs 100 in wholesale price.
It simply in mouth talk that items such as bhang, khaini, gudakhu from Junagadh, Bhawanipatna and other areas are not available in the locality while unscrupulous black marketers are now active to collect all the products and sending to Chhattisgarh area other way and so that those items are not available in the locality. Intellectuals demanding that the administration should take appropriate action in such issues.
