JUSTICE FOR MANISHA: BAHUJAN KRANTI MORCHA STAGED DEMONSTRATION AT KORAPUT

SUNABEDA:Bahujan Kranti Morcha of Koraput staged a demonstration at the premises of Koraput collectorate seeking justice for 19 years old dalit girl Manisha Balmiki of Hathras, Uttar Pradesh who was gang raped and was murdered last month. Office bearers and members of Bahujan Kranti Morcha started the demonstration by 11.00 A.M and culminated at 5.00 P.M. The Morcha members demanded full security to the victim’s family, compensation of rupees one crore and a Govt job for one member of the victim’s family.
They also alleged that, as law and order has been completely collapsed in Uttar Pradesh the murder and rape cases are increased in many fold in the state. Convener of Bahujan Kranti Morcha of Koraput, Ram Muduli along with Purna Jani,Dasi Nandibali, Daitari Kendubali,Kamalu Pangi, Dhanurjay, Manoj Mohanty, Raghunath Nag, Bikash Nag and others participated in the Demonstration. A memorandum was also forwarded to the Governor of Odisha through the District Collector of Koraput. Deputy Collector Archana Das received the memorandum.
