JSPL Celebrates 75th Independence Day

ANGUL:16th Aug, Angul: Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) celebrated the 75th Independence Day at O.P. Jindal School campus, Jindal Nagar Township with patriotic fervour. Angul location head Mr. Hridayeshwar Jha unfurled the Tri-colour in presence of Executive Director Mr. Damodar Mittal, Mr. Sabyasachi Bandyopadhyay and other departmental heads.
Before addressing the small gathering, Mr. Hridayeshwar Jha read out the message of the Chairman of JSPL Mr Naveen Jindal. In his message, Mr. Jindal lauded the performance of India’s contingent at Tokyo Olympics and expressed his gratitude towards all healthcare and frontline workers who helped the country fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
In its effort to make India Atmanirbhar in steel, “JSPL will expand the capacity of its Angul and Raigarh steel plant to increase its steelmaking capacity to 50 MTPA by 2030” said Mr Jindal. “Very soon the company will be debt free,” he added. He encouraged the youth to come forward and work with dedication to fulfil Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat Roadmap.
Mr. Jha has also congratulated every work force for their contribution in nation building and making JSPL’s Angul unit as one of the best performing units of the group. On this occasion Mr. Jha specially congratulated those departments who have surpassed their earlier records, rewriting the success stories of JSPL with each passing days.
Similarly DAV Savitri Jindal High-School at Badamahitala R & R colony of JSPL and O.P. Jindal Community College at Angul also celebrated the Independence Day with hoisting of the national flag at their respective premises.
JSPL’s Bhubaneswar office also celebrated the 75th Independence Day with hoisting of the National Flag by the President and Group Head (CSR) of JSPL Mr. Prashant Kumar Hota, in presence of various employees.
All the programmes were organised with strict adherence to COVID-19 safety guidelines.
