Jr.Engineer Sri Jagadish Sahu was nabbed by Vigilance in Ganjam

Ganjam:Tuesday i.e on 09.05.2023, short while ago, Sri Jagadish Ku Sahu, JE, Purusottampur Block, Dist. Ganjam along with Sri Surjya Narayan Swain, GRS Jaganathpur, Purusottampur Block, Dist- Ganjam has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.10,000/- from a Complainant (Contractor) for facilitating release of pending bills in connection with work executed under MGNREG scheme.
Sri Jagadish Sahu was nabbed by the vigilance team today when he accepted the bribe money from the complt. and handed over the same to Sri Swain, GRS for counting inside the Block premises. The entire bribe money has been recovered from the possession of Sri Swain, GRS and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Sri Sahu from DA angle.
In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance PS Case No. 03/23 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered against both the accused persons Sri Sahu, JE and Sri Swain, GRS. Investigation is in progress against both Sri Sahu and Sri Swain. Detailed report follows.
