JK Organisation initiates “Naari Shakti Awards 2023” for its women employees

Rayagada, August 28: JK Organisation (JKO), have been acknowledging and honouring outstanding individuals through various methods of recognition. These awards have served as a powerful means of recognizing and appreciating the hard work and dedication of its women employees in various fields. However, JKO believes in exceptional women professionals within the JK Organization in light of the “Naari Shakti” (Women Empowerment) initiative.
Eighteen members form different group companies filed nominations for three categories, namely,Naari Shakti: Emerging Leader Award 2023, Naari Shakti: Catalyst for Change Award 2023 & Naari Shakti: DEI Ally of the Year Award 2023.
The award ceremony programme was hosted by JK Tyre Ltd at Radisson Blu, GRT, Chennai. Out of the nine awardees from different group companies two members were awarded from JK Paper Ltd. Unit-JKPM, Jaykaypur.
Dr Padma Yeswant was awarded for Catalyst for Change Awards for the year 2023 for her outstanding contribution and dedication towards the improvement of Rural health and hygiene in the tribal community through a project – “Care for Life”.
Ms Tejaswini Pedenti, Junior Officer (QC) Trainee from JK Paper Ltd grabbed the DEI Ally Awards -2023 across the JK group of Companies for her contribution towards tribal development. Being a tribal girl of Badachandili village, Ms Tejaswini Pedenti motivated the adolescent tribal girls of her village and formed a SHG producer group (PG). This PG was nurtured and continuously supported by CSR dept of JK Paper Mills, Jaykaypur, which started a unique initiative and produced degradable Bamboo Jewellery. These jewelleries were highly appreciated throughout the country.
Mr. Vinay Dwivedi, Executive Vice President (Works), on behalf of JK Paper Mills, conveyed his best wishes and appreciated for their outstanding contribution towards the society.
