International Women’s Day at Paralakhemundi

Paralakhemundi- International Women’s Day observed by various institution & organization. Held at Government Women’s College DPM of OLM Priyambada Bisoyi, Principal Dr. Rina Sahu & Dr. Bharati Panigrahi graced as chief guest, president & guest of honor respectively.Held on behalf of college NSS unit the speakers highlighted on women’s empowerment & role of women to join on mainstream.
On behalf of Pragati Women Organization held at U-Tech presided by Manasi Panda,where Pandit Narasingha Gauda, Kalpana Patnaik & Anushri Patnaik graced as chief guest, chief speaker & guest of honor respectively.Fecilitated by Bichitrananda Bebarta member of Odisha Sahitya Academy of Gajapati district & Secretary of the organization Tanuja Satpathy.Speakers lauded on successful achievement of emerging women in national & international level.A debate competition held for +2 & above +3 students.Prizes given to winners by the guests. Bhagabat Padhi & Debadutta Bebarta graced as judges of the competition.Mamata Padhi given vote of thanks. Loknath Mishra convenor of organization welcomed the guests. Among others Netrananda Satapathy spoke on the occasion.
Organized by leading civil society,Akankhya at Utkal Hiteishini Samaj,where national awarded teacher Asalata Panigrahi presided over the meeting. CWC member Alaka Sahu & Itishree Mahapatra graced as chief guest & chief speaker.Speakers quipped on UNO theme of 2022 “Gender Equality for Today & Sustainable Tomorrow” shared by the speakers. They also voiced on role of women to come out of curtain to join on mainstreaming. Society still needs support of both male & female where from sky to earth women too showed their deemed challenge. So dignity too an aspect where women should not be felt as pressure group. Though society still reluctant to expose women’s innovation where family is a barrier. So sanctity needed to respect women that too equal with men where role can be a creamy layer. Dr Kalyani Mishra welomed the guest, where among others Bhagyalaxmi Nayak also spoke on the occasion. A souvenir launched on behalf of Akankhya in presence of Purnachandra Mahapatra, Binod Chandra Jena & Harmohan Patnaik. Secretary Mina Kumari Tahal presented annual report of Akankhya. Cultural show like dance casted by Nisigandha Pujari & a Hindi poem on women’s rights presented by Mira Padhi, both students of Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir Paralakhemundi. Swarnaprava Pathi fecilitated the program. Vote of thanks given by Anita Behera.
On behalf of Jana Sikhya Sansthaan Women’s Day observed. DPM of OLM Priyambada Bisoyi graced as chief guest where PSunita Program Manager of TI project of SWWS under OSACS, as guest of honor. Speakers highlighted on role of women on creative sociey. Transgender Sumanta Barada also spoke to reduce disparities on their community & stigmatization.
That,too,held on a village by GODS,an NGO, staff sensitized women group to energize towards self livelihoods. Now various schemes at their support which they can streamline their decision making power feel equal that of men on every sector.
