Inter-State Drugs Peddlers arrested by STF

Bhubaneswar:On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by team of STF, Bhubaneswar near Rasulgarh Crossing, Bhubaneswar against illegal trade of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended two interstate drug peddlers namely 1) Rakibul Laskar, 30 years S/o. Late Latif Laskar of Ghutiari Sarif ( Makhaltola) PS. Jibantola Dist,. South 24 Pragranna and 2) Sudhanya Gayen, 44 years S/o. Late Haridas Gayen of Paler chowk PO: Naksalpara (Jalaberi) PS. Kultoli Dist. South 24 Praganna, West Bengal.
During search Brown Sugar weighing 01 Kg 025 gram and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from their possession. The accused persons could not produce any valid authority in support of possession of such contraband materials, for which the accused persons were arrested and will be forwarded to the court of District & Sessions Judge, Bhubaneswar, Dist. Khordha. In this connection STF PS Case No.32 dated 13.09.2021 U/s. 21(c)/29 NDPS Act, 1985 was registered.
During preliminary investigation West Bengal link as well as interstate ramification has been established. Steps is being taken to nab the involved interstate drug peddlers in the instant case. Investigation is on.
Since 2020, STF in the special drive against narcotic drugs has seized more than 40 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin and more than 86 quintals 81 kg (86.81) of Ganja /Marijuna and arrested more than 100 drug dealers/peddlers.
